We offer exquisite handmade babies clothing and children's clothing made in the UK by our very own team of knitters and seamstresses. Our knitwear uses the finest Italian yarns including Loro Piana pure cashmere and is perfect for a baby gift and when you want something unique. Our baby and children’s clothing collection, including christening gowns and shawls for baptism, girls party dresses and tu tu skirts incorporates Liberty prints, vintage inspired styles and the highest quality fabrics.

 We opened our childrens store in The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, in 2011. There you can see our own complete collection as well as other brands which compliment our style such as Kissy Kissy babywear and blankets, Esprit baby and childrenswear, Doy London girl's jewellery, each piece unique and hand made in pearls and semi precious stones, Verity Jones hair bows and fabulous Samantha Sage girls swimwear.

We also stock a range of unique hand made baby pram shoes by Ickle Schooz individually hand made in England as well as baby gifts from Rufus Rabbit. 

How Do We Do It?

 The work that goes into the producing Sue Hill clothing and accessories is a complete team effort by lots of very dedicated people all over the UK.

 From our office and childrens shop in Tunbridge Wells, we create, sell and dispatch every single item we produce.  

Sue writes all the knitting patterns for her team of dedicated knitters, then, on a daily basis, sends out the wool to each one. When the hand knitted garments are returned to her, she sews on labels and buttons with the help of Myra and others. Sue still presses and tags every piece herself to ensure that it is perfectly made and presented.

  Naomi, Sue's production manager and qualified pattern maker, creates every sewing pattern and cuts all the fabric to send to her team of seamstresses. Again, once made, each piece is inspected by Naomi and Sue before pressing and packaging.  

 Keith, Sue's husband, assists with the administative aspect of company, ensuring all raw materials such as yarn, fabric, buttons, labels and packaging are in place. He also gives valuable advice on fabrics, colours and designs for each season.

 Valerie, Sue's mother is the main test knitter for all new patterns created for each season, ensuring that Sue's knitters can complete each garment efficiently and without query. Sue, Sue's only hand embroiderer makes the hand knitted and hand made garments even more special with her exquisite embroidery which has become such a trademark of the Sue Hill brand. Sue is responsible for every embroidery stitch on the clothing and personalised gifts. 

Sue's dedicated team of knitters and seamstresses work so hard to make such beautiful clothes and their love for their craft really shows in every piece created. We are proud to say that our cashmere hand knits and Liberty print baby clothes are sold in some of the best stores in the world including Fortnum & Mason in London, Bergdorf Goodman in New York and Ma Mere in Tokyo as well as other stores. We are all still very passionate about our business and are committed to creating the best quality baby and children's clothing for our very discerning and sometimes high profile customers.
